Our client, a large chain of hospitals, had several different pharmacies on site serving the patients. Each pharmacy store ordered their supplies independently from the distributors. There is no central inventory management and ordering system. This increased inventory on hand and thereby inventory carrying cost. The pharmacy could not avail the bulk discounts.
Moreover, each store had an independent POS system from different vendors. Each POS system worked differently and staff had to be cross-trained to increase utilization. Management has limited insight into the inventory as the POS systems are not web-enabled.
Our solution is a centralized inventory management system [CIMS] integrating the existing store inventory systems. It performs the purchase management and also provides better reporting. CIMS is highly configurable, 100% web-based and is a SaaS [Software-as-a-Servicee] solution hosted in our secured data center.
CIMS includes 5 different modules viz. Order, Receive, Transfer, Adjust, and Close. These modules are integrated and can work independently.
CIMS can be securely accessed anywhere anytime. It interfaces with industry-standard POS systems and works on mobile devices and any standard browsers.
Moreover, it provides standard inventory reports out-of-the-box. It works with bar-coded products.
